Every Child Can & The Music Reading Courses do not require any audition from the SAA. All are welcome.
For the rest of the courses, participants must visit the SAA page and follow their requirements in order to audition through the SAA.
(HNU does not have any part in the audition process except hearing of your acceptance so you can be approved to take the training!)
We offer free coaching on your audition pieces, if you need it. Feel free to email a youtube recording of your playing for pre-audition comments.
The SAA is very thorough in their explanation of your audition requirements.

Becoming A Suzuki Teacher
"All Children Can" is the great quote of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki that encompasses the main idea of his philosophy. With the Suzuki Method, young children learn through their senses, with the love and support of their parents and teacher, and to develop their potential to the fullest.
At Holy Names, we offer a wonderful, intensive study to teachers. We encourage beginning teachers to take the "Suzuki Saturation" course group, which includes the Every Child Can philosophy course, Book One, Book Two, and one music reading enrichment course, in order to get a firm foundation for your new adventure as a Suzuki piano teacher. This course combination will enable you to start a new Suzuki studio with all the skills you need and will give you a thorough understanding of how to present the Suzuki repertoire to your new students and parents. It is also wonderful for teachers transitioning from traditional teaching to Suzuki teaching.
To learn more about becoming a Suzuki teacher, please visit the website of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. This is a wonderful resource.
