The small-scale works of Frédéric Chopin provide a perfect opportunity for introducing children to his distinctive style and the picturesque variety in his music. Please join us for a program featuring the “Raindrop” Prelude, “Cat Waltz,” “Polonaise Militaire,” and more, along with an entertaining and informative story by author Ann Rachlin about Chopin’s childhood.

Comfy Concerts brings quality musical performances to busy parents, friends, and relatives of young children, while including the younger generation with age-appropriate stories, discussions, and quiet activities in the midst of the music-making. These interactive concerts introduce audience members to the lives, as well as the music, of the composers on the program, building connections between the music and its time and place. The activities will be geared toward children ages 4-9, but all ages are welcome.
